Weekend and Childbirth Class

Friday felt like (and was) an extra long day at work since it was moving day - we're moving from Wall St. to a larger and better space nearby. That night pizza and a movie (127 Hours... wow, talk about a survival story!) was just right. Saturday was a go, go, go day. We learned a lot in our 10AM to 6PM childbirth and labor class and I feel a little more prepared and educated.   Funny how my belly gets in the way of pictures.  ;-)

After the class, we hustled home to change and head to a wedding reception (we missed the ceremony during the day).  It was a lovely evening at a beautiful place, Westmount Country Club.

Today was much more relaxing - made some cinnamon rolls, got a little TV time in, took a nap, I did some scrapbooking while Pat studied, we took a walk, and I hit up the gym (briefly) and the grocery.
I did the below pages a couple weeks ago but don't think I took pictures. (remember you can click on them to view larger)
I tried my best to embellish this page, and used a little ribbon from The Ribbon Jar.

It's chili night!  :o) We love to make a big pot at the end of the weekend and have a yummy and fast meal to reheat after work for the next few nights.
Have a great week everyone!

Squeezin' in Some Scrapbookin'

With the Evite responses coming in for next month's 2nd Annual Turkey Fry, it was high time I scrapped up the pictures from last year.
Sorry my pictures of pages always turn out so terrible, but you get the idea. :)

Cold Monday

I have to say that for a cold Monday things are looking up.  I had a couple pregnancy friendly sushi rolls for lunch today - mmm mmm!  And I got my car back tonight - turns out the battery was not holding the charge so Lexi now has a brand new battery.  She's good as new!

 Winnie was especially cute tonight.
See what I mean? :o)
And I found time for a little scrapbooking.  Hard to keep up with all these weddings!
I couldn't decide if I should do a double page spread, but I squeezed onto the one page:
Pages aren't 100% done but pretty close.
And yes, I always like to take a Cake picture.

Scrap Action

Hello there!  I sure wish I had today off work for Columbus Day, but at least I have a job.  Here is some more of my weekend scrapbooking:

Nice Little Saturday

After Pat's black coffee and my milky decaf latte, we were out the door by 10 am for some errands - bank, dry cleaners, Target, and the grocery. By noon Pat had a pork butt prepped for his Big Green Egg and was ready for Phish tickets to go on sale (he got them for New Year's Day at MSG). I got started scrapbooking and then we drove a town over to Westwood for lunch at The Iron Horse. They stuff their burgers with cheese and have sweet potato fries, so why has Pat never taken me there? We then strolled the shops and went into our jeweler to have my rings cleaned. They are looking extra sparkly. :o) We came back home (after a quick stop at a neighbor's bakesale, mmm brownie) and I watched Project Runway and took a delightful nap while Pat worked on the computer. Now I'm working on some new pages, but here are two for now...
Hope you've had a great start to the weekend!

Serious Scrapbooking

I had gotten a little behind on scrapbooking, but after this weekend I am certainly catching up!  Snapfish had a Memorial Day sale of 150 photos for $15 (which included shipping) so I recently got lots of new pictures.  (if you want to, you can click on photos to see them larger)
Close up of one of the stickers (thanks Amber!) from my New Year's Page:
And you can tell I'm following through based on my next page. :-)
Happy Tape usage:
I think I've had these dog stickers since seriously middle school.  Finally!  It was their time to shine.
For wedding pages, I love to incorporate parts of the invitation in my scrapbook page.
Some people ask me why I scrapbook.  I have fun doing it, but mostly I love to look through all these fun times years down the road.  Yes, I am on Facebook and can look at my pictures there, but will there be a new Facebook in 10 years?  Who knows.  Scrapbooks are a safe bet for me!  :o)

All my supplies are still covering the living room, so more scrapbook pages to come!

Sunday and Scrapbooking

Pat and I got in a run today before the rain came...but I am sore from trying out that workout video P90x yesterday! Man!  Ever heard of it or tried it?

More pages to share with you.  :o)

Scrapbook Action

Pat is outside blowing leaves and I have been doing some scrapbooking.  I think 3 pages is enough for one day so I'll go ahead and show them to you:

I don't exactly love this cookie decorating page, but I'll probably just leave it as is:

Have a nice Saturday!

The Latest

Here are those Thanksgiving pages I was working on:

(As always, you can click for a larger view.)

And the rehearsal dinner page from Maura and Mike's wedding weekend:

And the post rehearsal dinner page / parents at Cape page:

Now is a good time to mention one of my awesome Christmas presents.  "Santa" which might be code name for my mother-in-law in this instance got me some Happy Tape.  I used it for the first time on the above page and let me tell you, it made me happy.  It's just masking tape but manages to be quite pretty.  I plan to use it in scrapbooking and gift wrapping.  Thanks Kate!  Here is my tape and pretty pink dispenser:

New Goodies

Hello! Here I am in my new Banana Republic Coat.  (loved the 30% off Friends and Family!)

And here are some scrapbooking goodies that I just got this week.  One of my Camp Pinecliffe counselor friends runs a Ribbon website/business called The Ribbon Jar.  Amber had these Crafting Kits on sale so I got a couple.

So Pretty!

And because she is so sweet she also sent me some extras! Pictures don't do it justice.  I am excited to get crafty!

Pat and I had a great time with my friend Stuart last night.  Here's a picture.

Now I'm off to do laundry and sit on the couch.  :)
