Loveless
I had a package waiting for me when I got home from work. My cousin Sarah and her husband Matthew sent us a holiday gift and I couldn't be more excited! I will have to get some buttermilk - come Saturday morning we are making biscuits!!
Loveless Cafe is a famous restaurant in Nashville. I am curious about you non-Nashville people, have you heard of it?
It came with a 3 pack of preserves: strawberry, blackberry, and peach.
Loveless Cafe sells items online and you can find it right here. Mmmmmm, Thank you Sarah and Matt!!

Scrapbook Action
The last few nights I've gotten back into scrapbooking. Feels good! I have pretty much finished a couple pages for Maura's wedding, but I still have one rehearsal dinner page in the works.
And here is a page when Devon and Andy hosted a Thanksgiving meal:
Winter Poem
Found this beautiful winter poem and thought it might be a comfort to you. It was to me, and it's very well written and I hope that you enjoy it too.

Steak
New York is famous for lots of things, several of these are food items - Pizza, Bagels AND STEAK. I was thinking about steak because Time Out New York just emailed me a list of their top steakhouses. You can see it HERE. It's got 9 on the list and I've only been to two of them - Peter Luger's and Spark's. (YUM AND YUM) What is your favorite New York Steakhouse and which ones do you think are missing from TONY's list? I would have to include Del Frisco's!
2010 Handbook
My friend Laurisa sent this my way. Hope you enjoy it too.
HANDBOOK 2010
Health:
1. Drink plenty of water.
2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.
3. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
4. Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy
5. Make time to pray.
6. Play more games.
7. Read more books than you did in 2009.
8. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
9. Sleep for 7 hours.
10. Take a 10-30 minute walk daily. And while you walk, smile.
Personality:
11. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
12. Don't have negative thoughts on things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
13. Don't overdo it. Keep your limits.
14. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
15. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip.
16. Dream more while you are awake.
17. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
18. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner with his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.
20. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
21. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
22. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class, but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
23. Smile and laugh more.
24. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree...
Society:
25. Call your family often.
26. Each day give something good to others.
27. Forgive everyone for everything.
28. Spend time with people over the age of 70 and under the age of 6.
29. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
30. What other people think of you is none of your business.
31. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.
Life:
32. Do the right thing!
33. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
34. GOD heals everything.
35. However good or bad a situation is, it will change...
36. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
37. The best is yet to come...
38. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it.
39. Your Inner most is always happy. So, be happy.

Rejoice Rachie!!
I haven't been as good about my birthday posts, but my cousin Rachie is needing one asap. Squeezing it in before midnight counts!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
I love my cuz Rachel.
Even when she would play "hide and seek" with me but really just leave me to hide in the closet for an hour. Yes, I finally caught on.
Even when she would steal my stuffed rabbit (cleverly called Bunny) and taunt me.
Even when she forced me to play the tone game (now one of my faves).
HaHa
Glad you had a nice trip to South America! I know little Lucky is happy to have you back!
Here is my sweet sis E and cousin Rachie from Thanksgiving time:

Suz Shopping Spree
I have been home a lot the last week, and that has been nice, but I was ready to get away for a bit. Pat and I went to the packed Garden State Plaza yesterday. If you are willing to deal with the mall masses there are lots of deals to be had.
Turns out The Limited is closing at this mall so I got a couple dresses on super sale:
For under a 100 bucks I feel like I went on this wild and crazy shopping spree!! Hope you can find some good deals too. (oh, Pat found a great Banana Republic sweater so he was not left out)
Ok, I am off to hit the elliptical for a bit. Have a nice Sunday and GO JETS! :o) It's back to work tomorrow for me.

For $18 each I decided to get both blue and brown!
Found a really cute set of 20 cards at Papyrus for about $5:
Then I checked out some sales at Ann Taylor Loft:
Great brown cadigan for $15
Pretty magenta dress for about $24
Grey sweater for $18
Ok, I am off to hit the elliptical for a bit. Have a nice Sunday and GO JETS! :o) It's back to work tomorrow for me.

Resolutions
I don't always do this, but why not.
1. My main goal is to stop picking at my fingernails (and fingers) - gross habit that has gone on way too long.
2. Cook more and try more recipes.
What are yours??

Fondue Fun
We got a nice fondue set as a wedding present but it has sat untouched for a while now. It was time to test it out. Well guess what, we LOVE IT!
We followed this recipe pretty closely last night. It's a 3 cheese fondue (Gruyere, sharp Cheddar, and Swiss). We also added a little garlic. Served it up with some fresh bread, Granny Smith apples, broccoli, carrots, and even a little celery. The bread and apples were the best in my opinion. We made too much for just the two of us, so looks like we can have some leftovers tonight.
And here are a few photos right around midnight:
