1. Pat found out last week that he passed Level 3 of the CFA! Thank goodness he is done studying for those tests and can just focus on Vandy. We celebrated with some margaritas that night.
2. Sorted through Charlie's clothes...he's already outgrown all of this stuff (sad! good! mixed feelings) and it's now up in the attic.
3. Visited Pat's buddy Jacob in Evansville, on our way home from John and Lauren's wedding. Jacob and Courtney's daughter is adorable.
4. Teething. Charlie continues to drool and put everything in his mouth. We've seen "whitecaps" for almost 2 months in his mouth, but it feels like those two teeth are finally starting to pop out now.
Random note: now that we have finally unboxed all of our wedding china, I discovered that two boxes were incorrectly labeled with our setting, Pearl Platinum, but was actually something else. So don't just trust the shipping labels and box labels, open that stuff up. I thought I was being smart by letting it stay in the protected boxes, but no. Thankfully Macy's took them back almost 4 years and a price increase later (after some serious pleading on my part) and I just received my two settings in the mail yesterday, and the correct ones! :o) Phew!
Wow, this feels like a big milestone - Charlie is halfway to his first birthday!! He did well at his new pediatrician in Nashville yesterday. It's just a few miles from our house and we picked out a very nice office with great doctors and wonderful nurses. CQ had some shots but made a quick recovery.
His new stats: He's just under 20 pounds at 19 pounds and 13 ounces (80th %). And he's 26 and 5/8ths inches long (65th %). Pat and I thought he might be able to go off the Alimentum formula, but the doctor suggested we stick with it. Yay for SIX MONTHS! Yay for our sweet boy.
My cousin John got married on Saturday in Evansville, IN. We drove up that morning - Charlie added two states to his list: Kentucky and Indiana. :o) Luckily the hotel let us check in early and our babysitter that we had booked met us there around 1pm. She was great! She took great care of Charlie while we had a blast at the wedding ceremony and reception.

Going back to our first weekend in Nashville... My great friend Kate turned 30 and she flew back home to TN from San Francisco to celebrate. Along with her most generous parents, she rented a private room at an awesome little restaurant, 1808 Grille at the Hutton Hotel. Her boyfriend Paul flew in town too and it was my first time to meet him. Hanging out with old friends was a perfect way to spend my first weekend back in Nashville! Here are all the pictures: The five couples...
John and Claire, Keith and Nathalie, Paul and Kate, Suzanne and Pat, Lanier and Bryan.
The birthday girl and her younger man. ;-)
Very posh! Hanging around during a little cocktail hour.
Kate and her little brother Benjamin.
Her parents made a nice champagne toast.

Then the 30 year old Kate got turned away from a nearby bar cause her license was expired. Ha! What a fun night. Love these ladies!
