First Taste

CQ had his first taste of food on Tuesday night. It was rice cereal mixed with a little formula. He didn't seem to like it too much. Last night Pat had a little more success with feeding him, but here are some pictures from the first try on Tuesday.

 Good thing for bibs!  This got a little messy. :)

High Line Adventure

This was supposed to post on Sunday...but appears to still be in my "drafts" section, so here ya go!

Pat was away all weekend at Warren's bachelor party, so CQ and I had some big fun together.  Sunday we drove and parked in Hoboken where we met up with Devon.  We met her kitty Sir Winston who was quite interested in the stroller.  He was so cute.

From there we took the ferry into NYC and walked down along the water until we got to 30th street.  We met up for a quick visit with Lacie and Neil there.  They came all the way to see us for a quick chat and to meet Charlie - very sweet.    

The new section of the High Line runs up to 30th St so Devon, Andrea, CQ, and I started there and strolled on south.

There were tons of people which really did mean you had to stroll.  It was kind of hard to get around people with the path being so narrow, but  that was fine.

You can see some parts of the old railroad tracks at certain spots.

We then had a late brunch (french toast, yum!) at Pastis with Erin and Laurisa.

It was a really fun day in the city.  My girlfriends were all so helpful with Charlie, helping me maneuver the stroller, hold/feed him, etc.  That's what friends are for I guess.  :)  Very glad Pat is back from the bachelor party though - and glad he had fun.
Anyone who has the chance, definitely take a walk on the High Line!

Charlie at 4 Months:

16 pounds 11 ounces (75th percentile)

26 inches long (85th percentile)

Charlie - 4 months old

The big boy is 16 pounds 11 ounces (75th percentile) and 26 inches long (85th percentile).

He'll start some foods soon - first up will be a little rice cereal mixed with formula.

Charlie turned 4 months old on Friday.  He's heading to see Dr. Smith on Monday so we'll find out his stats then.  I'm guessing 16-17 pounds...we'll let you know.  We really like our pediatrician here in New Jersey so I'm kind of sad we have to find a new one in Nashville.  A lot happening with us!  The movers are booked...only a few more weeks of living in the northeast.

He'll be 4 months old on the 24th - tomorrow! 

Just a Swingin'

My favorite thing to do these days is to take Charlie to a nearby park that has swings...he gets such a laugh out of it! (and so do we)

Sean and MC

Our friends Sean and Mary Clare came to see us on Saturday (goly, they rented a car to drive from NYC).  I think they really enjoyed meeting Charlie.  Mary Clare said that her family calls Sean the Baby Whisperer.  :o)  We had coffee, caught up, and then had some yummy cheeseburgers straight off the grill.  They had to get back into the city for Sean's softball game that afternoon.  So glad they came to see us - and we're looking forward to seeing The Book of Mormon on Broadway with them Wednesday.

Happy Father's Day

We spent about 15 minutes and decided on paint for the entire inside of our new house:

Dining Room  "Harvest Moon"

We're hoping to have it all painted before we move in next month. yay!
