I really liked this brick house a lot but it was on a tiny lot.
Pat and I ended up really liking this fixer-upper on a 1 acre lot. We went back and saw it again with my parents and sister and later decided we'd make an offer. After a little back and forth negotiating, I think we got it for a fair price. So we had the home inspected and he confirmed our suspicions about work to be done. Clean up basement, paint, get a refrigerator and washer/dryer, service air conditioner, seal the foundation, and do some electrical and plumbing fixes. We need to decide what we want to do in the kitchen and baths as well. (It's technically two bathrooms, but the second bath is in the basement, so kind of hard to count that one). Enough already, I'll get to the pictures!!
As you can see, it's an older home - built in the late 1950s.
It's got a walk-out basement and a big backyard,
With lots of windows looking out into the yard.
Three bedrooms
Nice hardwood floors throughout the house.
There is a little side porch off to the left, with a door to the dining room.We have lots of plans for this house! We see lots of potential in it and love the neighborhood. It's a short drive to my parents (10 minutes) and to Vandy (15 minutes). Closing is set for June 15th, so we should be first time homeowners very soon. We hope we're still this excited about it once we move in and get to work. Wish us luck. :)
How exciting! Congrats I can't wait to see what you do with it!
