My college friend / sorority sister / Senior year roommate Lindsey got married on July 3rd in lovely Newport, Rhode Island. Charlie hung out with his Grandparents and Aunt/Uncle/Cousin in Cape Cod while Pat and I spent 1 night away. The drive was about 2 hours from Cape Cod, so not too bad. After we checked in to our hotel we ran into Sarah and Andrea in the hotel lobby. They were heading out to check out the Vanderbilt Mansion so we joined them on their adventure.
We walked quite a ways to get there and passed some beautiful homes along the way.
We waited in line for a while to get in but we were running out of time so we left (and the $24.50 admission fee wasn't helping)
So we strolled along the Cliff Walk for a bit.
We needed to grab a late lunch and make our way back to the hotel to get ready for the wedding. A couple pedicabs came to our rescue.
So fun!
And on to the wedding! We walked over a bridge to nearby Goose Island for the ceremony and reception. Here's Emily and her boyfriend Pete, both flew in from Atlanta.
Scott and Kate flew in from Chicago.
Andrea and Sarah took a train from NYC.
Yay! Lindsey and Victor are married after a short and sweet ceremony.

The flip flops given away for the dance floor were great.
A great night with friends...but boy we were anxious to get back to CQ the next day!
