Maura and Mike just spent a little under a week in Paris, sort of a "babymoon" since they'll have their own bundle of joy in just over 2 months. When they left, they had given us contact information for their hotel, including an email address in case we had any news to share with them. Of course I thought that was wishful thinking and that Charlie would definitely not be making his debut while they were away. They must have known! They happened to ask their hotel's front desk if they had any messages and the hotel staff excitedly shared the news with them that Pat had passed on last Thursday. They flew back into Newark yesterday evening and got to meet their nephew last night.
Charlie loved meeting his aunt and uncle...I know he can't wait to meet his Aunt Elizabeth too! And I am more than positive she feels the same. :o)

We also had our first outing yesterday. We went to the doctor for the first time for his first wellness checkup. All went great and I think he loves to ride in his car seat.
And if anyone is curious about Winnie, I think she's been a little confused...but as you can see here, she is more than surviving.
I was wondering about Winnie! I've heard cats can have some pretty snarky reactions to new babies in the house, but glad to hear she's adjusting. Congrats again to you guys. Charlie is precious!!

I just squealed at those pics of him in his little sweat suit in the carseat. Eeeeee! He's a little cutie. [Stanley appreciates an update on your pet. He was quite concerned about the transition.]
